Kund

A kund is a tank, and in the dyeing villages near Jaipur the indigo vats are sunk into the floor. Wool goes in green and turns blue as the air reaches it, and every dip leaves its own depth. Kund keeps those depths as soft bands. Shown as a rendering. Woven to order in Jaipur.
