Pinhole
The piece
Built into the supports of the great sundial are two dark chambers. A small opening lets in the noon sun, which lands as a bright disc on a graduated arc. Pinhole is that moment: a disc of gold silk on aubergine wool so dark it is almost black, and the scale it is about to cross. Shown as a rendering. Woven to order in Jaipur.
