Pewter Scrollwork

The piece

Two colours only: a pewter grey ground and an ivory line. The line curls into scrolls, hearts and leaf tips, building a central rosette medallion that spreads outward like wrought ironwork, and the same scrolls repeat around the border. With no fill colour and plenty of open grey, the design reads light despite the dark ground. It works in a contemporary living room, a bedroom with grey upholstery, or an office with steel and glass. Hand-knotted in Jaipur in hand-spun New Zealand wool with mulberry silk accents on a cotton warp, 6 to 10 months on the loom, made to order in any size and colourway.
