Raven Palmette

The piece

Columns of gold and camel palmettes run down a black field, each one stacked on a smaller bud and tied to its neighbours by fine grey tendrils. The repeat is dense and regular, so from across the room the field reads as a dark textile. A wide dove-grey border answers it with paired palmettes and scrolling leaves, set between narrow guard stripes of small diamonds. It suits a panelled library or a dining room with dark timber. Hand-knotted in Jaipur in hand-spun New Zealand wool and mulberry silk, made to order in any size and colourway.
