Dviguna

The piece

Dviguna means twofold. Draw a square on the diagonal of another and it is exactly twice the size; it is the rule the cord was stretched for. Dviguna nests its squares in that relation, each turned by an eighth of a turn against the last, in ivory, flax and undyed brown, the joins carved so the light finds them. Shown as a rendering. Woven to order in Jaipur.
