Navy Damask
The piece
Navy Damask sets an allover repeat of mirrored scrolling leaves in pale silver grey on a deep navy field. Curling acanthus forms meet in pairs to make larger medallions, and small four-petal flowers sit at the joins. The silver areas carry fine horizontal streaks, a distressed texture that softens the contrast. The pattern runs to every edge without a border. Suited to a dining room with white panelling or a bedroom in navy and grey. Hand-knotted in Jaipur from hand-spun New Zealand wool with mulberry silk accents on a cotton warp, 10 to 14 knots per inch. Made to order in any colourway, from 4 × 6 ft up to 16 ft (5 m) wide, any length.
