The piece
A French Savonnerie carpet would set birds among its acanthus. Mor gives them to Rajasthan: four peacocks on indigo, the scrolls in saffron and emerald, a lotus of pink sandstone at the centre, and a ribbon twisting round the border. Shown as a rendering. Woven to order in Jaipur.
