Kohra
The piece
In winter, dense fog settles over the fields of north-east Rajasthan, and from above the land almost disappears. A path, the edge of a field, a few trees; everything else is grey. Kohra is that morning, knotted in long soft pile so that every line blurs, the colour of mist with a breath of sage. Shown as a rendering. Woven to order in Jaipur.
