Aravalli

The piece

The Aravallis run through the middle of Rajasthan and are counted among the oldest fold mountains on earth, worn down over an unimaginable stretch of time into low, rounded hills. On a survey map they become contour lines. Here each line is a step in the pile, climbing to two summits in khaki, lichen and stone. Shown as a rendering. Woven to order in Jaipur.
