Tibba

The piece

Tibba is what the desert calls a dune. Wind builds it grain by grain, a long slope on one side and a sharp crest on the other, and combs the whole of it into ripples. This rug is a single dune: one face in the light, one in its own shadow, and the crest running between them to become its top edge. Shown as a rendering. Woven to order in Jaipur.
