Kora

The piece

Kora is cloth as it comes off the loom: unwashed, unbleached, undyed. In Bagru cloth spends its days laid out in the sun, between one bath of dye and the next. This rug is one such length, ribbed like handspun cotton, one end turned back on itself and a faint line of indigo along its edge, the first hint of what comes next. Shown as a rendering. Woven to order in Jaipur.
