The piece
Large leaf silhouettes overlap across the rug in olive, moss and a deep brown-black. Where two leaves cross the colour shifts, so the shapes look translucent, like layered sheets of tinted glass. The tones stay close, keeping contrast low, with the brightest olive gathered on the left and darker forms settling to the lower right. Suited to a den or bedroom with dark green or walnut furniture, where pattern is felt more than seen. Hand-knotted in Jaipur from hand-spun New Zealand wool on a cotton warp, 6 to 10 knots per inch. Made to order in any colourway, from 4 × 6 ft up to 16 ft (5 m) wide, any length.
